Simon Fieldhouse. B.Sc (Hons), BDS, FDSRCS (England), Specialist in Oral Surgery Simon qualified as a dentist at Liverpool in 1992, having gained an inter-collated anatomy degree in 1990. After qualifying, he worked in the Mersey regional maxilla-facial unit where he gained his fellowship in surgery and completed his specialist training in Oral Surgery in 1999. Simon is a registered specialist in Oral Surgery with the General Dental Council, a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, a member of the ITI (International Team for Implantology) and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine. As well as providing general dental services Simon has specialist interest in Implantology, bone regeneration surgery, periodontal surgery, rehabilitation reconstruction and cosmetics. Simon became a partner in May 2007. Since joining Dutch Barton he has been overseeing the practice refurbishment. Away from the practice Simon enjoys physical training, coaching rugby (now he has hung up his boots) and spending time with his family. Much to Howard’s amusement, Simon is a Bristol rugby supporter. |

Howard Thomson. BDS Howard qualified as a dentist in Edinburgh in 1975. Soon after he moved to Wiltshire and joined the Dutch Barton practice. Howard has a wide range of dental interests, providing general dental services to adults and children. He has seen many of his adult patients since they were small. Outside of the practice Howard tells us that he is an excellent cook and is a keen golfer. He is married with two grown up children. He has the misfortune to have been a Bath rugby season ticket holder for many years. |

Jonathan Cowie. BDS (Bristol), Dip Endo (London) — Practice Limited to Endodontics Jon Cowie qualified as a dentist from Bristol University in 2004. He now finds his time between London, where he is training to become a specialist in Endodontics at Guy’s Hospital, and the Dutch Barton practice at Bradford on Avon. Jon is studying for the Masters in Clinical Dentistry in Endodontics and a membership in Restorative Dentistry. Jon was recently awarded the diploma in Endodontic Practice, with merit, following two years of study at Barts and The London Hospital. He is a member of the British Endodontic Society. Jon provides Endodontic treatment at the practice as well as some contemporary general dentistry. Originally from Cornwall Jon now lives in Bristol with his wife. Jon is a very keen sportsman and much to Simon’s displeasure is a footballer. However at least he is not a Bristol Rugby supporter. Sally E Wilson. BDS Sally qualified in 1987 from University College London and has enjoyed a successful and varied career in the South East of England before moving to Bradford on Avon and joining Dutch Barton in July 2007. Sally enjoys the mixed aspects of general practice and has a particular interest in cosmetic and aesthetic work. She also hopes to continue developing skills in implant reconstruction. Sally is a member of the community choir , " All in Harmony " and can usually be found on Saturdays in one of the local coffee shops! Outside the surgery Sally also enjoys gardening, travel and learning the Spanish guitar — she has no interest in Rugby! |
