Specialist in Oral Surgery. Practice Principal
Simon Qualified in 1992 at Liverpool University Dental Hospital. Simon stayed in Liverpool and worked in the Mersey Regional Maxillofacial Unit, where he completed his specialist training. Simon Is a registered specialist in Oral Surgery. During this time Simon’s research was related to 3-D analysis of the head and neck and tumour mapping using MRI.
Simon has spent the last 11 years developing the Dutch Barton Practice in Bradford-on- Avon. He describes the practice as a “scene from Heart Beat” when he bought the practice in 2007.
Since then the practice has invested heavily in technology which enables him to follow the complete digital workflow. Simon accepts referrals for all forms of surgery and implants. He uses the full range of digital technology to enable him to plan 3-D implant surgery, bridge work and simple crowns. The practice has continued to develop the portfolio of digital treatments with further investment, resulting in a better work environment for both patients and staff.
Away from work Simon is a rugby coach and school governor.

James graduated from Bristol University in 2003. He initially worked in practice in Bristol, and then at Bristol Dental Hospital in the Restorative Dentistry Department, and at Frenchay Hospital in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department. Following a year spent working in practice in Australia, he returned to Bristol and completed a 4-year postgraduate Master’s degree at Bristol University in Dental Implantology. James joined the Dutch Barton Practice in 2012, and became a partner in 2016. He lives in Bristol with his wife and 2 young children.

Sally E Wilson

Sally qualified as a dentist from University College London in 1987. Initially spending a year as a vocational dentist in Guilford, she then joined a growing multi-centre practice in Basingstoke where she was senior associate. In 1995 Sally bought and ran her own practice in Basingstoke before moving to Wiltshire in 2007. She then joined the Dutch Barton and enjoys the mixed aspects of general practice and brings 30 years of continued practice to her patients.
Sally is an active member of the local community choir “All in Harmony”, and opens her garden in the summer for the NGS and local charities. When not at work, she can be found at one of the local coffee shops.

Paul qualified as a dental surgeon in 1980 from Liverpool University. He worked at Liverpool and Bristol Dental Hospitals, and then at Arrowe Park and Plymouth General Hospital, and gained his Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow in 1984.
He then studied at the Institute for Dental Surgery and the Eastman Dental Hospital from 1984 to 1986 gaining the degree of MSc in Conservative Dentistry, and completed higher specialist training in Restorative Dentistry in 1991 while a lecturer at the University of Leeds. Paul is on the General Dental Council’s Specialist Register in Restorative Dentistry, and has operated specialist practices in Endodontics and Restorative Dentistry since 1993. He offers a referral service in Endodontics (root fillings) and a restorative treatment planning service.
