White Fillings

A filling is used to replace or repair part of a tooth that has been lost either due to dental decay, tooth wear or through fracture. White fillings can repair damage to teeth and also improve cosmetic appearance. They can be used to replace unsightly amalgam (metal-based) fillings, providing a durable and aesthetically superior alternative.

White fillings can:

  • Treat decay
  • Repair fractured teeth
  • Restore teeth worn down by grinding, toothbrush abrasion, or acid erosion.
  • Replace metal-based fillings
  • Improve the appearance of teeth by changing their shape and shade

Materials used

Whichever material that is best suited for your individual needs, the filling created will have excellent function, aesthetics and durability. Composite filling materials are directly bonded to the tooth’s surface, and can then be hand-crafted and polished in situ to mimic the natural tooth structure and shade. We no longer place metal amalgam fillings.

Alternatively, our state of the art Cerec 3D machine can be used to manufacture a number of different types of ceramic fillings on site. This impression-free process produces ceramic restorations of the highest standard that can be fitted and cemented in place at the same visit.
